Addie & Stenson — Surprise Marriage Proposal at Montserrat
Some love stories unfold in the most breathtaking places; for Addie and Stenson, that place was Montserrat. Nestled in the Catalan mountains just outside Barcelona, Montserrat’s towering peaks and panoramic views set the perfect stage for an unforgettable marriage proposal.
Stenson and Addie came to Spain for their 2nd anniversary, and in fact, Addie’s wish was to be proposed to on this trip. Their first stop was Madrid, and then Barcelona; Montserrat was their last stop. Addie started to be upset as she assumed that it was not going to happen at all.
Little did she know that Stenson had it all planned, and he had his sights on Montserrat, given its scenic and dramatic rock formations and that incredible view. He asked me for some advice on how to make it intimate, given Addie’s wishes of not having anyone around when he finally proposes. After taking in my instructions about where to go and when Stenson finally got down on one knee to propose to Addie.
Addie’s reaction says it all—absolute shock, happiness, and love.
It was a resounding “yes!” with Addie’s happy jumps and the biggest smile. The sheer joy of this couple made these shots so heartwarming that you can’t help but smile along as well.
