Wedding Photography - FAQ

1. What is your photography style?

Well, I would say my style combines a documentary and an artistic one; it’s about capturing the feelings and beauty around, keeping it close and intimate. My purpose is to photograph the real moments of the whole day for you: the laughs, tears, hugs, and all the emotions that make your day so unique and that you would like to remember—forced and artificial poses are not my style, as they can often take away from what’s really happening. I promise to be the most respectful and attentive while at the same time an invisible person, so what I capture in the photos reflects your real story. You don’t have to worry about the photos, timing, or details with me. I will always be present, observing, ready with the camera, with good humor and common sense, to be there for all the hours needed.

2. What is included in your wedding photography packages?

I have 3 wedding photography packages for you to choose from. Just check the investment page on my website, and you will see the full description of each package. The main difference is the duration of the coverage and added second photographer. I can also be available for elopement reportage and of course, if any of those doesn’t match your needs, I will gladly tailor a customize package according your wishes. 

3.Is there anything related to photography we should consult with you before finalizing all the details & timings of the day? 

One thing we should discuss is lighting, location set-up, and timings. 

During the ceremony, you don’t want to stand in direct, harsh sunlight while your partner is in the shade and regret it when it’s too late. Also, the room for getting ready should be spacious and filled with natural light (artificial lighting changes the tone of your skin and can create unpleasant shades and contrasts). The same applies to dinner or even dance party. Lighting, positioning and timings matter so much to your comfort and the photos as well. 

8. Can we provide a shoot list of specific photos we want?

Yes, of course! If you want special group shots, I recommend having a list so we can easily organize the shoot. Also, if you want certain things highlighted, I can do my best to accommodate your wishes. 

I usually ask in the wedding form I share with you a couple of weeks before the wedding if you require any specific photos so I can keep them in mind for your wedding day. However, you can email me anytime when anything comes to your mind, whether it’s for the group photos, your couple photos, or any specific detail or situation I should capture in my photographs. 

9. We want a photographer, but we are very camera-shy and awkward in front of the camera. Is this a problem?

Not at all! Many of my clients are camera-shy but appreciate the photography itself. I myself represent the most awkward people in front of the camera, so I know how to empathize with you! I try to be invisible and discrete during the day; I think I can also feel the vibe and adapt my approach to it. Sometimes, I switch off the sound of my camera so the “clicks” won’t distract the event. And if some posing and directions are needed, I always try to be natural and fun! 

10. Does the fact that we’re not photogenic matter?

It’s definitely not an issue, and I believe everyone is photogenic; it only depends on the photographer and approach! People usually say, “I like myself best when I didn’t know someone was taking photos.” That’s it! Forced poses or smiles may make you feel awkward; consequently, you do not look natural and think you are not photogenic. But candid moments capture the natural beauty, and you may reconsider all the “non-photogenic” statements afterward! 

11. There are many wedding photographers out there. How do we know you are the right match for us? 

As with any relationship, I’d say trust your gut! Check several wedding galleries to ensure you like my style in different settings and conditions. Also, read some reviews of different clients on Google. And of course, it would also help if you felt a connection with me, so before making the decision, let’s jump on a video call and get to know each other so you can properly consider whether we are the right match! 

12. When should we book the date with you? 

I recommend booking as soon as you secure your venue and the date! This is important, especially during peak wedding season, to ensure you have the date secured before someone else inquires.

13. Are you available for a personal meeting before the booking?

Of course! Happy to meet you in person in Barcelona or over a video call! I would even recommend doing so, so you can get the feeling from me if I am the best fit for your wedding photographer. Also, it’s a great opportunity to review your wedding planning and sort out any doubts or questions! 

I will be here for you every step of the way and glad to provide further assistance and recommendations as well.

14. We want to book you but don’t need the full-day reportage. Are you flexible with this?

Yes, I have an elopement package, and besides that, I can always tailor a package according to your needs. Just ask!

19. What if the couple (or one of the couple) gets injured or gets sick, and the wedding has to be postponed? 

I have a specific clause in the wedding photography contract for these cases. I do allow a one-time rescheduling of the wedding. However, I reserve the right to adjust the cost of the services in accordance with the pricelist effective for the new date if applicable. 

20. Once we lock the date with you, is there anything else before the wedding day?

Yes, please keep me posted on your wedding planning progress and any specific information or requirements! A couple of weeks before the wedding date, I’ll send you an online wedding form to fill in all the important details of the day. We’ll coordinate all the timings, arrival times, requested group photos, etc. 

DURING THE WEDDING

21. Is there anything we should consult with you on the wedding day? 

If you doubt which room is the best for getting ready in terms of space and lighting, the wedding planner usually consults with me about lighting and setting, where the best position for the couple during the ceremony is, or when is the best time to have your couple session, so they can help to arrange it, etc. I am happy to help and give my recommendations to have the best photos possible!

22. How do you ensure that you capture all the important moments during our wedding?

I aim to document every important moment of your wedding day with a great focus on the atmosphere, emotions, aesthetics, and details of the wedding preparation, ceremony, reception, etc. I combine documentary and narrative photography, keeping it close and intimate. 

However, you must be aware that the photographer can only capture the moments that happen: weather, location, schedule complications, time restraints, and guests’ ability to cooperate are all factors in the quality of the final wedding reportage, so I can’t guarantee you will have all the desired photos you envisioned beforehand.

23. Does the lighting of our wedding day matter for your shots?

Yes, very much so! This is something we can both work on and plan together. I usually provide my recommendations for the best kind of lighting that would look good in photos. I can suggest the right light, positioning, and location with the best lighting during the ceremony, while you’re getting ready, during dinner, and even for the dance party. 

I would also like you to be aware of conditions that may negatively affect the photos, such as the midday sun, artificial smoke, and lasers, which can destroy my camera sensor. 

24. Do we provide you with a meal during the reception?

Yes, thank you for asking! A full guest meal would be required for weddings lasting more than 5 hours. If no meal is provided, I reserve the right to go off-site for a meal for about 45 minutes. 

FINAL DELIVERY

25. How long does it take to get the photos after our wedding? And how many photographs do we get?

Usually, within five days after your wedding day, I share with you a “first sneak peek” of edited photos via a personalized online gallery. The final gallery will be ready within 12 weeks and you can expect a minimum of 550 photographs per day of coverage.

26. Should we expect colored and black & white photos as well?

You can expect a mix of both! I deliver mostly colored photos, but you can also expect about 15% black-and-white photos. If you prefer more black-and-white, let me know beforehand so I can accommodate you prior to editing.

27. Does your postproduction includes also retouching? 

I have a strict no-retouching policy and cannot accommodate enhancing anyone’s natural look via Photoshop. Please read my policies and let me know if you are happy to accept those! 

28. Are you insured? 

Yes! I have the following insurance:

29. Do you provide raw files of the images? Or is there an option to purchase the raw images?

No, I don’t provide raw images to anyone; they contain all the data captured by the camera sensor without being processed or edited. So, they might not look as polished or vibrant as the final images you receive. Instead, I carefully edit and enhance the photos to bring out their full potential. The final photos I deliver are in a high-resolution format, perfect for enlargements and big-format prints, ensuring that your memories look stunning, whether displayed on your wall or in a beautiful album.
